You may or may not have heard of remote healing, and if you have you might be wondering what on earth that actually means.
In some of my darkest times, friends told me about remote healing, but even I was once a skeptic and dismissed the concept, choosing instead to struggle on in a haze and prolong my emotional pain. Looking back, knowing what I know now, I should have taken their advice.
Reiki is a gentle palm healing technique that focuses on rebalancing the energy centers and bringing the body, mind and spirit back into alignment. If you’re in need of comfort or respite and cannot for any reason leave the house due to your emotional or physical state, a Reiki practitioner will be able to carry out a treatment remotely for you. All that’s needed is a time, date and location and you can receive the amazing benefits of Reiki wherever you are in the world and at whatever time is convenient for you.
How is this even possible? Well, if we delve into the world of Quantum mechanics, we are all made of energy, thus, we are all connected. With energy healing, the mere intention to connect to another when paired with visualisation opens up an avenue of flow.
We are not sending a treatment elsewhere because we are already connected.
Einstein noted how energy at one location can affect the energy in a different location. He called this phenomenon ‘spooky action at a distance.’ This is something I like to tell skeptics! Remote healing isn’t woo-woo, it’s science!
The beauty of Reiki, or any other energy healing modality, is that it reaches beyond our learned perception of time and space. Theoretical physicists suggest that our perceived reality is just a complex network of events onto which we project the idea of past, present and future for our own ease. Timelines are an illusion of the memory, everything that has ever been and will ever happen is happening right now. Therefore we can send healing or connect to any time we want, to any event, any person and anything that ever was.
The recent work of Torsten A. Lange, founder of Reiki Academy, London, has not only produced scientific evidence of the effects of Reiki on water, but the effects of Reiki administered from a distance too. Findings show notable change and improvement in the crystalline structure of the water, even when sent from a different location. This really shows us the power of intention and the potential that remote healing has to change the way in which we view healing in general.
Although Quantum physicists are on a mission to explore the true nature of energy, it remains for the most part immeasurable. We simply don’t have the means to fully understand it yet, science is still catching up. We can however measure the effects of energy healing by means of the success stories of those who turn to it when no other medical or psychological intervention has helped.
Throughout events of this year people have increasingly opened up to the power of distance healing.
It has not only helped with the physical, lingering effects and after-effects of Covid19 but alleviated the emotional unease that the pandemic has inflicted upon us. It has soothed rising fear, relieving pain and feelings of isolation and been an incredibly valuable tool at a time where we were forced to keep our distance from one another.
Yes, it is possible to give and receive healing remotely. And how do I know? Because I have sent hundreds of treatments across the world, even to those who initially seemed skeptical and unbelieving, and not one person has ever reported feeling nothing. All have benefitted from the soothing effects of remote healing. I have also taught groups of students how to give remote Reiki treatments, their reactions are ones of awe and it always seems to be turning point on their spiritual path.
Those at the receiving end of distance Reiki report feelings of peace, becoming awash with comfort, buzzing sensations in the hands or feet, emotional release, deep, replenishing rest and pain relief. One of the sensations often reported is the feeling of being covered in a warm white blanket of light. Some are even able to sense which part of the body is being worked on.
Reiki can uncover the root cause of an issue and be the trigger that induces real positive change, even when administered from a distance! I have seen unstuck shoulders, diminished anxiety levels, respite in the symptoms of disease, accelerated healing and emotional reconciliation. Reiki brings only lasting positive change and distance treatments are truly incredible.
My wish is for this valuable way to heal to be more widely known, understood and regarded with the respect it deserves. Recognising and accepting its power and potential means there would be unlimited accessibility to much needed healing therapy and a progression towards the enhanced wellbeing of the collective.
